This house. That lot of land. That view. And that sunroom. To die for.

My Fraannnnd!

Above is a picture of my friend Tyra and me while we were tailgating before the game. I mentioned in my Over the Weekend post that one of my highlights was seeing and spending some time with her and it definitely was! We actually started running once we were in sight of each other and collided with a huge hug. We caught up, waited in many different lines for the porta john, and jumped a fence, twice.

I miss her and all of my close friends from grad school. I feel like I talk about it all the time on here and on my previous blog, but I really do. We are all in need of an ATL or beach meet-up SOON!

If you haven't checked out Tyra's guest post on a DIY Entertainment Center check it out by clicking here!

Over the Weekend:

We tackled the nine hour drive to NC over the weekend. And it was well worth it. Here are my highlights:

  • Seeing my mom, brother, and Chloe (the dog) - my dad had to work over the weekend, so I couldn't see him... so sad.
  • Seeing and tailgating with friends (shmeeee, Tyra!).
  • Being in Raleigh.
  • Feeling and smelling that central NC air.
  • Wearing cowboy boots and shorts together in in public.
  • Participating in the largest party in NC that is NCSU tailgating.
  • Being in Carter-Finley and cheering with 57K+ fans
  • Seeing the Wolfpack run onto the field.
  • Seeing our new, live mascot, Tuffy.
  • My pre-made mimosa that was carried around in my Sunny D jug.
  • Seeing red everywhere, seeing people with NC State apparel - and not seeing Alabama or Auburn anywhere!
  • My mommy taking me to Sephora for my birthday present!
  • Being in Crabtree.
  • Crackin' open and eating peanuts during the game.
  • Eating Bojangles. Twice.
  • Givign high-fives to the three little girls sitting behind us everytime the Wolfpack would score or make a play that was worthy of more than just clapping.
Although the Wolfpack received their first L of the season, we had a blast. There's just something about being back on campus, back in Carter-Finley, back around people who feel the same die-hard love for the school and the team that you feel. It's like being home. I loved it. And it re-confirmed just how much we love and miss Raleigh.

26.2 Miles

This is my sister {in law}{and my father-in-law, too!}. She lives and goes to school in the beautiful state of Maine. Over the weekend she traveled down to Portland to run a MARATHON! Yes, you read that correctly, a marathon. She did it yesterday and I wanted to give a big shout out to her and a big congratulations!! I'm so proud of her. And amazed. I could never do that. Not even a half. I don't really run. She did the run in 4 hours, 26 minutes and she said the course was along the Maine coast - which I bet was such a fantastic view.

So anyway, congratulations,Julianne! You worked so hard to train for that and I'm so happy you did so well!

Friday Favorites

So I don't know about you, but I avoid multi-vitamins. Why? They are obnoxiously over-sized. I mean it's more likely that I choke while taking a multi-vitamin than actually get it down my throat. Seriously. You know, tons of memory and programs can be put into a chip the size of my little toe nail, but muti-vitamins can't be smaller? Someone needs to get on that (unless there are smaller versions. If this is the case, then I would ask you to inform me, please!)

The other options? Gummy vitamins. This is a favorite because it's a great alternative. It definitely does not pack in all the good stuff, and some of the vitamins aren't 100%, but it's better than chocking six times before cutting it in half and still choking to get it down. If you have the same problem, I would recommend these or any type of chewy vitamin. It's like eating candy and all your fruits and veggies in one!
