 Starting last month I made the announcement that I was accepting sponsorship. Since then, I've had the pleasure of adding on five sponsors. I wanted to take a little bit of time and introduce you to their loveliness.

Apothica

I've mentioned Apothica before, but I love makeup and they carry so much, so it's worth talking about again! It's  mostly an online store (although they do have a physical store in Salt Lake City) that carries tons of makeup and beauty brands you're most likely familiar with - Nars, Smashbox, Chanel, and Bobbi Brown. Aside from makeup, they also carry candles, fragrances, hair care, skin care, and men's products. So be sure to check them out next time you're itching to buy some beauty products.

Maybe you've heard of ModCloth, maybe you haven't? If not, let me fill you in! They are an online retailer specializing in vintage and retro clothing, accessories, and decor. I've been a lover of their site for a couple years now! I remember being in grad school and sometimes putting off studying just to browse their gorgeous dresses. The thing I love about the site is that yes, the pieces are vintage and retro inspired, but really they can work for anyone! The variety of items is endless! 

Megan Nielson

A sweet friend and lovely clothing designer. Megan makes some of the most darling clothes I've seen. Her pieces are feminine, colorful, and well-made. She makes a variety of pieces from tanks and skirts to coats and cardigans! She is currently in the process of finishing up her Spring 2011 line - so be sure to stick around for that! I know once she shares it with all of us it won't be long before everything is gone! Lady M is run by the fabulous Monique. She is a college student that has a love for dressing up. And She Loved is another daily read of mine. It's run by another sweet friend of mine, Sarah. Sarah is from VA, but is currently in school in TX (what a move!). When she isn't diving into Neuro books and writing up research reports, she is sharing bits and pieces of her life on And She Loved. She shares daily outfits, how to tutorials, and DIY projects. The other day I came across this pin and knew I would be re-creating that look - and soon! Voilà, there it is! However, there are a few differences: a.) her starfish necklace is way more fabulous than my not-so-starfish-necklaces, b.) she's tan and I'm lily white, and c.) her shirt is longer than mine, she has a huge, striped bag, and her shorts are a bit shorter (and more fitting) than mine. So just a few differences, but you get the idea. It was an inspired look. I was personally just in love with the color combination of cream, coral, and gold - so pretty and summery.

It was fun to get inspired from a new look and re-created the best I can. I'm going to have to do this more often. Thank God for Pinterest... where my possibilities are endless! (it kind of rhymed, did you catch that?)

Happy Mother's Day

I'm pretty confident in the fact that I have the most amazing mom out there. She is the best role model for selflessness, faith, and how to love. I've never come across a more generous and loving woman. I hope to be a fraction of the mother that she is. Love you, mom!

I'd been planning to put some of my gently worn items online for a blog sale for quite some time now. I finally got around to snapping the photos and starting a separate blog. It's up and running! There are several items up now, but keep a lookout for new items to come.

A Year Ago

Last year, on this exact date, I graduated from graduate school. When I graduated not only did I take away a new degree, but also lifelong friendships and wonderful memories. It was two of the best years of my life and I have my friends to thank!

The week of graduation was fabulous. The week before we had wrapped up Literacy Camp (my clinical placement during my last semester), I had finished all my exams, and I successfully presented my master's project - all of that was over and this last week was wide open! My roommate and I really took advantage of a free week. Sure we should have spent some time packing so we wouldn't have had to throw everything into trash bags at the last minute, but who wants to spend free time packing? (not us)

We spent the week laying out in the park, eating Mexican at least once a day, and doing whatever the heck else we wanted to for five whole days. Right across the street from the park we loved and about a mile up that road was the historic stone called Judaculla Rock. We didn't care for the rock as much as we cared for the scenery before the rock. It was located on a huge farm, surrounded by mountains. It was one of the most gorgeous places I've ever seen. Meg (my roommate) asked me to take some pictures of her here to give to her mom and boyfriend - and that's where we went! Here are some pictures of the farm and of Meg!
