Mardi Gras Dinner


Yesterday I spent about four hours (pretty much the time from when I got off work until bed time) preparing and making gumbo. GaGa, Chris's grandmother, shared her adapted recipe from Paula Deen's recipe with me and voila! We are having some friends over tonight for dinner and I thought this would be a perfect meal for Fat Tuesday!

wow, this gumbo looks so festive! and of course anything adapted from Paula Deen is bound to be fantastic, no? jealous i didn't celebrate with anything festive yesterday...

i love her recipe. i use smoked turkey sausage instead of regular. it's delish!
