Daily Threads: A Bun

{similar sweater, F21 Gray Skirt, Steve Madden Inka Cognac Boots, target belt, SC boutique necklace}

It was a true struggle to come up with this outfit. I had on at least four other looks before going outside with this. I don't know what it is - maybe since it's the last stretch of the challenge and all I have left are my dud outfits. Maybe I'm just not motivated. Luckily, out of nowhere, I mentally paired this sweater with the grey skirt and voila! Now, I have to really think hard for these last three looks.

So today I threw my hair up in a knotted bun. I tweeted about doing a tutorial for this look a while back. I actually asked on twitter if you all would rather see a tutorial on the fishtail or this bun - and the fishtail won. So I thought I would include an up-close picture of the knotted bun, and if any of you are interested, I'd be happy to make a tutorial. It's relatively easy and can be worn casual or dressy. Let me know what you think!

Have a happy weekend!

I love that necklace also, I've been searching for a staple red necklace for a long time now - just ship it my way? great, thanks! :)

I notice that all skirts look good on you, and I understand why! This is because of your really beautiful legs!
I also like the necklace. Is it handmade?

I love your outfit posts! Your style is so similar to mine and you always provide such great inspiration. I really like the knotted bun and would love a tutorial.

I agree, a tutorial would be fun! Could you also do this with just the top half of your hair? Not sure mine is long enough for the full bun.

Sounds like the end of the challenge may be the most educational for ya!

The last stretch of the 30 for 30 is always challenging. "Remix fatigue" definitely starts to set in. But your outfit is great!

Sigh. Buns like that make me miss my long hair...

Great color combo here--with the rust and mustard and grey and camel. DEFINITELY does not look like you had to struggle to put this together--total win!

It's funny you mention that this look was hard to come up with.. it looks so natural and so you! I am inspired to go find a bunch of skirts like that in every color imaginable, you've made them so versatile!

This outfit is so not a dud. It's adorable. I also would like a tutorial of how to make my hair as thick as yours, then I would watch the fishtail and bun tutorials. I feel like my little thin hair won't do much of anything. Any ideas on bloggers who do a lot with a little in the hair realm?
