Working Out

pants: c/o Purusha, sweater: LL Bean, shoes: Nike Free Run

Being that it's a brand new year, some places already have bikinis out on the floors (ahem, Target), and summer will be here before I even realize it, I'm starting a workout program. This week officially starts: Mission Get In Shape. My brother-in-law found great success in the Couch to 5K program, so I'm going with that. I think I'll also throw some push ups and sit ups in the mix. I'm ridiculously out of shape, it's embarrassing; so hopefully this program will do the trick without me hating it the first week.

I have a new pair of pants to run in thanks to the sweet Hayley at Purusha. She makes everything herself! Her products are marketed towards yoga, but I've tested them out - you can run in them too! The are comfy for my workouts as they allow me to move around without restrictions - and they're a gorgeous blue color that I can stare at all day long! They are also great for long road trips or lounging around the house. Definitely my new favorite leggings! Check out all of her pieces on her Etsy shop!

My friends and I are doing this

Think it seems a bit more "fun" than just arbitrarily doing pushups

Good luck!

I am going to join you with the Couch to 5K program - starting tonight after work!

I've tried it TWICE before without finishing (both last year, I tried in the Spring and in the Fall - failed both times) so I'm determined THIS WILL happen for me this time around!

Those pants are CUTE!

I'm starting couch to 5k again, too! Started it last year and LOVEd it, but was dealing with some back pain issues beforehand that got worse through it, so had to stop. Can't wait to start again! Love the workout clothes.

Just wanted to give you some motivation!

I did Couch to 5k last year starting in March. I ran my first half marathon in October and just did my second one yesterday! I literally could not run one mile when I started and hadn't worked out in years! Now I work out 4-5 times a week running, spinning, and yoga-ing! It's a miracle working program I tell you!

Best of luck to you! You can totally do it! Keep us updated! I just love seeing non-health/fitness bloggers talk about working out! It keeps me extra motivated!

I have never heard of the C25K program before but might need to look into it. I can tell you though, as soon as you run your first race it will be in your system. There is something about hundreds of people with a common goal, cheering each other on and the excitement of it all that gets into a person's mind and won't let go. Good luck! - Katy

I plan on completing the C25K program this year. I did the program a year and a half ago and hate that I stopped running after I finished.
