Daily Threads: Gray and Pink

top: j crew {similar}, maxi skirt: belk, shoes: c/o ruche, watch: MK, bracelet: DY

I've been on the hunt for a maxi skirt; I found this one over the weekend on super sale ($11!!) at Belk! I love it - it's soft, has pockets, and it's gray - I just wish it were a bit longer. I'd prefer to wear it around my waist, but after sifting through these photos, it's really at an awkward length when I wear this at my waist. Anyway, to the point, next time I wear it, it will be sitting on the hips.

Maybe you noticed, maybe not - but I cut my hair! It still looks somewhat long, but she did chop off quite a bit - she said five inches from the longest point. She chopped it straight across (rather than to a V in the back) and she eliminated the layers - which I didn't ask for, but I'll give it a shot. If in a couple weeks I'm still missing the layers, I'll go back and have some put in. Until then, I'm using this photo to rationalize a straight-across cut (can you tell I've always had layers?).

Also, congratulations to Sorren for winning the Rack and Sack giveaway!

I think your hair looks great (as it always does)! I am in the process of slowly growing my layers out. I think I will still keep some, but the no more dramatic layers for me.

You'll end up loving the all one length across rather than the V. :)
And you're right, you can always add more layers later!! I actually do concave layers, so that the shortest ones are in the back (think a LONG version of the 'Rachel')!

I am having the same problem that you were! I want a maxi skirt but can't seem to find one I like until I saw yours! Your hair looks really cute too!

I got my hair cut straight across a little over 6 months ago, and I love it now! It's so much easier to do.
