Over the Weekend

dress: c/o modclothbelt: target, sandals: c/o ruche {via giveaway}, sunglasses: betsey johnson

The weekend was fabulous and much needed! Friday night husband and I had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in the area, Sinclair's. After dinner we hit the movie theater. When we go to movies on the weekends, it's usually just us and tons of teenagers. The teenagers were definitely there this weekend, but weren't allowed to see the movie we came for - Bridesmaids. Have you seen this yet? You should! I guess some may be offended by the movie, but we thought it was hilarious. I also love Kristen Wiig. Everything she does makes me laugh.

Sunday we headed to Lowe's and bought some cucumber and cherry tomato plants. We potted them, found a sunny area outside of our patio, and now we're waiting for some veggies to bloom. I would have liked to purchase several more plants; my love for vegetables goes on and on. Unfortunately, husband doesn't share my never ending love - so I didn't want to go overboard. However, I will say, he's gotten a lot better and does love these two above! We can't wait to start pulling tomatoes and cucumbers off these plants! I'm thinking I might get a couple herbs planted this week too. Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

Todays the last day to enter the Karen Kane $200 Styling Day giveaway!

Good luck with the veggies! I have kinda given up on growing veggies because it all seems to die except bell peppers. That's the only thing I could keep alive :)

Love your cute outfit. Perfect for a weekend. Good luck with the veggies. We planted strawberries this year (my first time), so we shall see.

I've been dying to see Bridesmaids since I first saw the trailer! Did your hubby mind seeing it? I can see asking Russ to go see it and him thinking it will be waaay too girly, but I don't get that impression from the previews! I keep trying to tell him it's like The Hangover...but with females.

Sounds like the perfect weekend!
Our hubbys sound the same...I have to force him to eat veggies (and I have a hard time eating them myself), but this year I'm planting a garden because there's nothing like fresh veggies and fruit! This may sound cruel, but sometimes I totally sneak veggies into meals (pureed cauliflower into garlic mashed potatoes....chopped spinach into pasta) and then tell him after he ate it! haha

Your little striped dress is just adorable! I think I'd be happy with a closet full of different striped dresses...

I don't think there is anything better than tomatoes in the summer, and basil to go with them!

I love your outfit. That dress is perfect! I've gotten obsessed with plants recently. I have two beefsteak-hybrids (meant to grown in pots--perfect!) cilantro, basil, oregano...plus, I made rooting hormone over the weekend and I'm working on propagating roses, petunias and some other really pretty flower I found nearby. Oh, and I'm not even counting the flowers/plants I have in the house. I have a problem. Steve is not a fan. LOL!
