Daily Threads: These Pictures are Deceiving

Despite the smiles and steady hair, the temperatures were miserably low and the wind was unforgiving. (Miserably low for this girl is anything in the 30's) But I made it through the picture taking alive - more importantly, my fingers and face made it. When it was all over I felt like Audrey Griswold while picking out the family Christmas tree.

I'm so ridiculous. Over half the country is buried under several feet of snow and I can hardly bare the 30's. But seriously, I'm not a cold-kinda-gal. Unless there's snow. Then I'll ruff it out - because it's gorgeous.

Moving on... looks like my subconscious still puts me in dark ensembles when there's an overcast. Not surprised. It always happens - without fail. I don't mind it, though. Gray is my new favorite neutral. Let's hope we see the sun tomorrow!

I love this outfit!! Its so cute!! And i am not a cold weather gal either. It's highs in the 30s here too and I hate it. I hope that groundhog knows what he's talking about and spring does come early!!Do you remember the tv show Blossom? You totally look like her.

Love the pop of red with the necklace! And I'm a total wimp when it comes to cold weather, anything under 60 I'm complaining! Guess that's what happens when you're born and raised in CA!

Yay for gray. Yay for warmth & sunshine (in our hearts at least). You rocked this outfit. Love it.

So I braved the cold this morning {with my tripod!} and OMG it is rough taking pictures and trying to look pulled together. Props to you. I, am the other hand, am slightly scared to look at the pictures I took. Woah.

Such a cute outfit, mixing a pattern into all the dark neutrals, plus the pop of red is so dramatic against the dark colors!

And girl, believe me, I feel you - cold weather+gray skies puts me instantly into winter depression. So even though it was freezing when I was taking my pics this morning, I at least was graced with the presence of the sun!

Girl I just love how classy your style is! And the pop of red. So chic. And haha, it's been in the 30s over here in AZ, too - I've been FREEZING.

I can definitely relate. It has been unseasonably cold here lately. I ventured out for pictures and ended up with a red nose/cheeks. I love the outfit and you look warm and happy in your pictures.

But you've got that bright pop of red which makes the outfit super happy :) And it's okay, yesterday we got down into the 40s and I was dancing around like crazy trying to keep warm!

Keri said...

I'm the same way. If it's foggy and grey outside I dress in muted colors too. But you fought the fight with bright red by your face!

Your outfit today is great!

We were definitely both channeling the need for black, white, gray & red:)

I love your hair in the 1st picture - it's so full and beautiful. The winter dryness is making me dull and drab...time for a pamper day I do believe :)

We were twins today! Well, we both wore the same shirt - so we were fraternal twins. Haha. Loving the monochrome, and I'm sorry about your miserable temps! (If it makes you feel any better, is was 46 when I got to my car this morning - and I live in Southern California!)

Looking forward to the next 27! :)
