The Right to Bare Arms

dress: c/o Karen Kane, sandals: Jack Rogers, purse: Brahmin

The title makes me giggle too.

I used to have a black maxi dress, a while ago. I loved it - it's perfect for dressing up or down and can be paired with almost anything. A perfect summer staple in my opinion. I used to wear my black maxi non-stop during the summer. Then, one day, my mom accidentally threw it in the dryer and it was no longer a maxi dress. So we parted ways.

I had forgotten how fabulous a black maxi dress can be until now. We are re-united! This time I have the upgraded version - it's a lovely material (that's incredibly comfortable) and the style has a super cute, boho flare to it. And it will never have to worry about getting near the dryer.

Giveaway: OASAP Cap-Toe Pumps {Closed}

Elegant Pointed-toe Pumps with Glossy Metal Toecap

Aren't they gorgeous? Yeah, I think so too! In fact, they were so gorgeous that when I partnered up with OASAP, I ordered them right away! However, there was a problem. You see, I wear a Euro 39, but this Euro 39 was 1/2-1 full size too small - I get it, some shoes run small.

I may or may not have sobbed loudly quietly in a corner over the fact that they are too small and it's the largest sized offered. Luck for one of you with a smaller foot - you can win these now!

If you wear a 7.5-8 US size shoe - I know they'd fit you perfectly. They are the perfect nude-pink color and the gold cap-toe makes them incredibly chic and sophisticated. If you'd like to win these bad boys just make sure you're a follower of Dwelling and Telling and comment below

Running

Hahaha!
{via}

In the past couple of months I've been running. If you know me, at all, you might be checking your calendar thinking it's possibly April 1st and that I'm just joking; however, that is not the case. I've actually been running for two months. The above pictures does a great job depicting the situation.

I'm running for a couple of reasons. First, it's a great way to get into shape. Running has countless health benefits - from your heart, to oxygen, to losing weight. I also work among several runners - so I was kind of forced to pick it up. I've made it a goal of mine to train for a half marathon and participate in a Rock 'n' Roll Marathon this fall. It's scary, but exciting. And although I often resemble this little girl when I run - I feel so great and accomplished afterwards.

Are any of you runners? How'd you feel starting out?

Elephants

dress: bloom, trench: F21, wedges: tj maxx (pricey, but similar), purse: brahmin

Despite the lack of posts, I'm still getting dressed everyday. Turns out, I needed a whole week to recover from a weekend excursion to Maine, but I'm back now - and yes, I am wearing a dress covered in adorable, purple elephants.

I've actually had this dress for a couple months and this is the first time I've worn it. I have a weird habit of purchasing clothes (or whatever else) and wanting to "save it for a special occasion." Then that special occasion never comes around and then I re-discover cute pieces in my closet. It's a horrible and embarrassing habit. I'm trying to kick it - one dress at a time.
