When push comes to shove - I always fall back on my skinny jeans. They are my staple, my sidekick, my no-fail-one-item-I-can't-live-without. I'm sure you have something like this? I tucked in the front, put on my turquoise necklace that's a perfect contrast, and some gladiator heels - done. I love the colors and the simplicity.

Um that necklace looks good with everything! Love the simplicity of it all :)
ReplyDeleteThat tangerine color is one of my all time favorites. I have more than a few bits and pieces in my closet in the same shade, but I've never thought to pair it with turquoise. I'm now super in love with the combo -- makes me want to run away to the warm places! Thanks for the inspiration.

I'm so excited that it looks so good on you! But then again, how could it not? I agree with you on the color, it is probably one of the few orange things in my closet because it's so difficult to wear! I think the lip color and your dark blonde hair makes the orange pop, though. Glad you're enjoying it :)
ReplyDeleteYou can never go wrong with skinny jeans..I love mine! lol and I love that color top, especially with the necklace!

Love it! I have been on a major orange kick lately! It is so fresh! xoxo kiki
ReplyDeleteI dont think I own anything orange either!! I want a really bright orange dress for summer though. I love the necklace and orange top. My cropped blazer is my "go-to" item, it looks good with anything, fall, winter, spring, summer.

I don't own a lot of orange either, but it's been popping up every where and now I want everything orange. def. a popular color this season.
ReplyDeleteAlthough orange is not my favorite crayon, I've caught myself looking at lovely orangy items lately, kinda glad to be adding more color to my closet, think the top looks beautiful on you, love the boho-ish look, love your diy pendant, just the cute color touch! Have a lovely weekend dear!

I've never really worn orange either (even though I went to OSU), but I pulled a never-worn orange top out of my closet last weekend, and wore it with some citizens flares, and it turned out great! Yours looks pretty dang good too! I think the dark wash jeans are the way to go... I could be a little bias since that was my choice too. :)
ReplyDeleteorange blouse = greatness
ReplyDeleteyou are awesome

This outfit is so so chic! PLUS I adore your hair!
ReplyDeletehttp://work-it-blog.blogspot.com/
LOVE the fishtail braid! Effortlessly chic (although I know it takes quite a bit of effort to do a fishtail!) Like you, I have a zillion things that need some sort of alteration and I'm not making the time for it! So I dream up outfits upon outfits and never get them worn!
ReplyDeleteYour tried and true skinnies did the top justice, though. That orange looks gorgeous on your skin and it's the super star of the outfit, this way!
I LOVE you orange blouse and your fishtail braid! You look awesome here. <3
ReplyDeleteKrust
That necklace makes this an outfit. I agree with you -- it's really simple -- but it's totally polished. Your lip color adds another bright to pull it all together, too.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love when you wear your hair like that!
Pretty! Orange is a hard color to wear and definitely looks horrible against my skin, but you better believe I throw on my bright orange Flyers tee whenever I go to a game.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, there is an optical illusion going on here--you mentioned you tucked in the shirt and you did such a perfect job blousing it out I thought the top was just cropped!

ReplyDeletei like how you styled your hair. i really need to learn how to fishtail braid.
ReplyDeleteI realized a while ago that I don't have anything orange in my closet either. I seriously need to remedy that.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it with the pop of turquoise! Genius!

ReplyDeleteOrange looks great on you. I only own a couple of orange tops, but I really like them.
ReplyDeleteI really like the necklace with that shirt! Orange is one of those colors I usually stay away from too, but I've been embracing it a little more lately.
ReplyDeleteShopping and Spreadsheets
I almost got an almost identical shirt like that the other day but ended up putting it back (trying to save money and all)! Oh, this makes me so mad now!
ReplyDeleteCute! I usually just keep orange limited to my accessories, but this is a great top. :)
ReplyDeleteusually orange isn't a flattering color but it works this time
