Neon and Pleats

dress (as skirt): BeBop via Belk, sweater: Forever 21, oxfords: Nicole
clutch: DIY, necklaces: c/o Kraftshop and DIY

This look was inspired by this pin; her's still seems a bit more comfortable and chic than mine, but I love the neon sweater a little more than the black. Either way - this look is still super comfortable and easy as pie to throw together.

Ah, a sigh of relief for Friday. Going in today will be day 12 of working for me. I worked last weekend and haven't had a break - we just stay so busy! I'm hoping I can see all my patients this morning and leave work a little early today - fingers crossed!

I'm not sure if I'll bum around all weekend, catch up on some much needed relaxation - or if I'll catch up on some much needed cleaning, grocery shopping, and laundry around this house - probably the former, but I deserve it. Have a great, relaxing weekend!

Warby Parker Home Try-On

Last week I had a eye appointment, received a new prescription, and immediately went on to Warby Parker and selected five frames to try on at home. In two days I received the five frames and I wanted to share with you! I wasn't crazy about all the frames, but three out of five isn't too shabby.

I love WP's try on at home program before purchasing - I think it's genius, but more so I love that frames are $95, which includes the prescription. So I could basically order two or three frames from WP and pay what I would pay for one frame at the eye doctor.

Below are the three I liked. I've already ordered the Finn and I think I might try five more before ordering a second pair. I also really liked the Zagg in the particular color I tried on, but I'm just not sure I could pull them off - I want to hear what you think.

Cobalt

linen blazer: c/o Karen Kane, shorts: RD Style via Kinnucan's, tee: Target {similar}
necklaces: c/o Kraftshop and DIY

This weekend was gorgeous! I couldn't help but ditch my skinny jeans for some loose, bright-colored shorts! This outfit came together on a whim Saturday after I purchased these shorts - and now I'm kind of in love with this whole look. It will definitely be a clutch outfit throughout the spring and into summer. It's ridiculously comfortable and effortless. Just please excuse my ghostly, white legs.

Happy Monday!

Birchbox: March 2012

If you aren't familiar with Birchbox, it's a monthly subscriptions ($10!) and with the subscription you receive 4-5 deluxe-sized beauty, hair, skincare, or lifestyle products. A great way to try out new products without the commitment or wasted money.

This month I was fairly impressed with the items I received. Two (two!) of the items were full-sized! Below are links to each item and my little blurbs.

This was a full-sized item! It was something different that any of my lip products as it applies matte! It also tastes deliciously minty and is moisturizing!

I haven't tried this out yet, but I've heard great things about this brand and I'm excited to see how it performs! Plus, I love hair oils - makes it so silky and smooth!

This was full-sized too! And I'm so happy I received the gold flakes! I also really think the rose colored polish is pretty too!

This is currently my favorite perfume! I asked for it for Christmas and have been wearing it every day since. It's a fruity floral scent that's perfect for running to lunch or a fancy evening out. I'm so happy to have a little travel size now! (and the bottle is so fun!)

I've actually received one of these in a previous box, but I never really tried it out. I'm kind of partial to the hair ties I currently use. When I try this one out, I'll let you know what I think.

EXTRA: I also received a $10 off coupon to Modcloth

Getting Dressed

sweater: GAP, blouse: GAP (similar), pants: NY&Co. (similar), bag: c/o Handbag Heaven
flats: Tory Burch, sunglasses: Betsey Johnson (similar), necklace: c/o Kraftshop

Today and tomorrow, instead of being in the hospital, I am going through a two-day training course. I have to say, it feels great to get up on a workday and put on an actual ensemble. Don't get me wrong, scrubs are fantastically comfortable and easy to throw on, but for someone who loves clothes, scrubs get old. With weather in the 80's, I wouldn't typically wear pants, a sweater, and a long-sleeve blouse, but instructors tend to ice-box classrooms, thus the more winter-like attire (thinking ahead, people). Either way, I'm just happy to be getting dressed in my clothes.

Wanted: Brahmin Bags

Recently (in the past couple of months) I've really been wanting a Brahmin bag. They have such an array of styles as well as colors; I'm not sure I could walk away with just one. Here are a few of my favorites. I'm loving the Weekender as I have a weekend trip coming up in a couple months and I also love Satchel for the spring color and hanging roses. And the polka dots are self-explanatory. So many lovely choices! Do you have any of these?

REMIXED: Green Pants

This is a feature I've been wanting to do for a while - take one item and re-mix it in three to five different ways. I recently purchased these green pants and I was so excited to pair them with different top combos. Plus, it's March and having a green look is mandatory.

Pants aren't as versatile as a top, but it turns out that it's easy to pair patterns and colors with a classic green wash. Hope you like the looks!

Teal and Tan

top: c/o Karen Kane, jacket: J Crew, denim: GAP, shoes: Guess

I'm not typically a Spring kind-of-gal - mostly because my sinuses rebel and torture me to no end; however, recently, I have been itching for the season. Even though it's been a bit chilly outside, I couldn't help wearing such a bright, Spring-like color!

Five Things

Cynthia Rowley striped blazer and trench coat. I also scored a Max Studio striped maxi dress. All via TJ Maxx

The Hunger Games. I finished this one last night and will promptly be beginning Catching Fire tonight.

The best chapstick. I re-discovered in the bottom of my purse.

Lately for breakfast I've been making oat meal with almond milk, a spoon full of fresh apple butter, and a bit of honey. It's delicious.

On a not-so-healthy note, I've also been cramming my face with Girl Scouts' Lemonades. They are the. best.
