Review: Invista LYCRA

I recently had the privilege of trying out a pair of jeans that were made with INVISTA's LYCRA fabric. It's a type of miracle ingredient that's embedded into top denim brands (7 For All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, DL 1961). This fabric gives the jeans a little somethin-somethin so they hug your lower half in ways you've always wanted! It gives the perfect fit and, best of all, it keeps that perfect fit through the day and from wear to wear. It's pretty amazing.

I wore my jeans over the weekend doing weekend-thing. I strutted around on this dirt road, went out to eat, did a bit of shopping, and ran a few necessary errands. The jeans hugged me perfectly from the am to the pm.  And then fit great (again) the very next day.

I am super picky when it comes to denim. I'm most picky in length and fit - and these jeans have made me a happy girl. I will definitely give this type of fabric another try as I do feel as if it's the reason they fit so well.

Definitely check out this type of fabric and definitely give it a try if you, like me, have a hard time finding good jeans that fit right. Hooray for perfect-fit jeans!

  5. Ooh thanks for the review. My jeans always end up saggy, and since I don't have much of a rear as it is, it basically disappears ; ) Love your boots - I'm trying to find the perfect pair of brown ones, but I have yet to discover them!

  6. Target's Denizen jeans have some special lycra too!!!-not sure if its Invista but definitely something magic and also had that "somethin-somethin"! Wore them an entire weekend of running around and eating out and they still "held" me in that oh-so-special way you want your jeans to hold you!!

  7. I'm going to risk being an idiot, but YOUR HAIRCUT IS ADORABLE!!! You haven't had that long, have you? I feel kinda stupid if you've had it cut for weeks and I'm just now noticing.

  8. Maureen: Thank you! I got my jacket from Kohl's maybe a year ago? It's Lauren Conrad and I found it on clearance for about $12!! I did see one not too long ago in Express that was light in color - and they'll probably go on sale soon too!

Terri: Haha, you're no idiot! I did cut my hair a few weeks ago, but this is only the second or third time I've posted with the new do! Thank you!!

  9. Very interesting! I didn`t realize there was a "secret ingredient" per say, but that makes sense now that I usually invest my pennies in premium denim, I don't find my jeans stretch out as much (and I don't have to risk them loosing length by using the dryer trick to tighten them up!)
