Fab Five Friday

So I thought it might be fun to round out each week with Fab Five Friday. A post to share five (or so) things that I've been loving. Anything - products, food, new or old blogs, clothing pieces, pictures... see, anything. Just a hand full of things that I feel are worth sharing.

See that bottom color right there? See how I've already put a dent in it? Yeah, I'm in love. Wet N Wild not only has some fabulous color choices for eye shadow, but the product is highly pigmented and the consistency is amazing. I apply this shadow over my primer and it lasts all day long.

2. My Everyday Jewelry
Since I'm in a hospital, I can't stack up the bangles or layer the chain necklaces - it's a bummer, right? However, I have found four pieces that I put on every day and I could not be happier with them. I have my MK watch and my DY bracelet on my left arm, my Jess LC necklace and my Jess LC earrings. I particularly love they earrings because they are unique and a great alternative to pearl studs.

3. New Clothes
Over the past couple weeks I have been to the local Goodwill, used up some gift cards, and received a few fabulous new pieces. Included in this bunch is bright plaid, a retro dress, and a lace dress - just to name a few. I'm so excited for Fall I can hardly stand it. Not pictured is my newest pair of boots! Eeep!

4. Babies Being Born {via}
Keep reading... The hospital I work at is large - the biggest in the area; however, there is a more specialized hospital for giving birth on the other side of the city and that's were most pregnant women go. There is a small section of my hospital that delivers. It's so small that when a baby is born, they play a few seconds of a lullaby over the hospital intercom. Seriously. It's the best thing ever. No matter how hectic and crazy my day is, when that sweet lullaby starts I can't help but smile.

5. Dad's Homemade Relish
In case I haven't mentioned it before (I have), my dad is a fabulous cook. Aside from cooking. he's good a making and mixing. Two of his most popular concoctions are bbq sauce and relish. He makes a sweet and spicy relish that's good on just about everything. I particularly love it on my collards. Anyway, a couple weeks ago I accidentally dropped my mason jar full of relish while attempting to open it. Glass shattered all over the floor and all I could think of was having to eat collards without relish. My amazing dad quickly popped a new jar in the mail and it arrived yesterday! Thanks, dad!

So there are my five fabulous things! Do you like this? Should I just stick with fashion? What do you think? Would you share fabulous things you're loving on your blog? Let me know. If so, I can start a link-up on these Fab Five Friday posts and we can all share things from our week!

  3. Aww, they did that at the hospital I gave birth in. When they moved me from the delivery room to the recovery room, they played a lullaby and it made me cry. Even right now thinking about all those emotions I had, I'm tearing up. lol

    I really like this feature! And a link up would be fun!

  7. I'm loving your everyday jewelry. It's such a nice mix between the styles of each of the pieces but they work together so well!

    Happy Friday, Linley!

  8. Fab idea! Absolutely something I would do on my own blog. I think this particular Fab Friday Five is a great mix of useful advice (like the product recommendation and what jewelry to wear to work) and fun stuff that just makes you happy.

  10. I also work in a hospital that does the intercom lullaby. I love that little added perk of working in a hospital. :)
