Daily Threads: Two Things
First thing - it was really too hot to be wearing long pants and a long sleeve button up, but I liked how it looked and I dealt with it. Sometimes I ignore the weather forecast and do whatever I want. Those days I am usually freezing or burning hot.
Second thing - I played with different layers in Photoshop with these pictures. I believe that the colors looked a lot better in the actual program, but now that I've uploaded the pictures here it looks kind of weird - gross, even. Muddy? I don't know, but I'm not crazy about it. I would re-edit them, but I don't feel like it. And I didn't save a copy. Lesson learned.

xo,
Linley
Such a great classic look! Also, love that necklace...so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI kind of liked the coloring, even before you said anything. I though it had a golden hue :)
ReplyDeleteLinley, you do such a great half-tuck. It makes me want to try tucking in my shirts... something I rarely do. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I've been having photoshop (okay, I use picasa, but whatever) issues lately. It's challenging to make the photos look both cool and accurately display the colors you're wearing, right?
A really simple and elegant combination. I like it!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great! I don't think you need to re-edit them:) Love the outfit!

I think the colors look cool...but then I dont know what the original pictures looked like. Anyway, love the half-tucked in look...very cute;)

I love this! Very simple yet chic. My company is allowing us to wear jeans all summer and I think this is a perfect outfit!! Love it!
ReplyDeletei love this outfit! it's such a modern spin on a classic look. ps...i adore that necklace. i was hoping there would be a link that it was one you made and up for sale in your etsy shop!
ReplyDeletei really like this, too, and i'm similarly rebellious about the weather, though sadly in the opposite direction of you these days. i'm just wearing my skirts and dresses and freezing my bum off in this bizarre cold spring we're having.
ReplyDeletesometimes when i mess with my pictures, they come out look a little grainy--maybe that is because i don't actually have REAL photoshop. sigh.
That's why I don¿t mess with photoshop cause it's so so hard to work with! Though I think pictures show your outfit pretty good! Oh the magic of a crispy white shirt, just add a cute necklace and you look fab!

I kinda like the way that you edited them. They look warm and kinda vintage :)
ReplyDeleteYou look great, btw, so burning up was worth it!

What a simple, clean and nice outfit.
ReplyDeleteKudos to you for at least playing with layers and things. I use the crop tool when editing my pictures and that's about it. Also: those shoes are adorable!

First thing, your layers worked well. I can see how you might have wanted to go for clearer/brighter, but this totally worked. Your landscape is really pretty and your outfit is crisp enough that everything still looks extra amazing. Second thing, I ignore the weather incessantly, but it kicks my butt anyway. My hair gets the worst of the beating. HOW is yours so perfect?!

I love this outfit! It's perfect from head to toe!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a classic look and you've made it so "Linley"...it's great!

Such a great look, but I can see what you mean about the muddy effect on your photos. I'd say they're slightly desaturated, but you still look great.

the belt is a lovely pop of color and nice accent :)
ReplyDeleteI love your relaxed yet crisp style. Your pictures are really beautiful! xx
ReplyDeleteOk but this outfit is PERFECT for the weather we are having here so I wish wish wish I owned every piece :)
ReplyDeleteAnd are you uploading your photos to flickr or something first or directly through blogger? B/c I noticed mine come out wonky when I upload thru Blogger which is why I host them elsewhere..
Fab jeans and shoes! Like your wonderful blog! Follow you)Follow me?
ReplyDeleteI love how your shirt is tucked in on one side and not the other. It's so cute!
ReplyDeleteI don't think the picture filters showcase your bright style and personality. Makes you look "antique" which is cool if that's the look you are going for. Nevertheless, you always look fab, so don't worry about changing it up once in awhile.
ReplyDeleteLove the shoes, can't believe they are from payless!
