I decided to go for a somewhat nautical themed outfit today. Except the shoes kind of throw everything off. I think loafers would have suited the look better, but loafers aren't a part of my thirty items. Oh well, I still like this. It's simple and interesting. And I've mixed patterns - which I'm petrified of.
I wanted to say THANK YOU to all of you who commented and emailed me yesterday regarding my cry for feedback. Your input was more than helpful and it seems that most of you are pretty happy with things! Some requested a few changes, tweaks, and improvements - all of which I am considering and thinking through. I'm still in the process of going through each comment again and making a list of your suggestions!
I'm happy to know that most of you enjoy the recipes and DIYs - and all of you are interested in seeing more of my favorite products (which I'm excited about because I love sharing and learning about new products!). So all-in-all I am more than thankful for all of you taking the time to share your input! I greatly appreciate it! If you still have anything to add or suggest, please email me! I welcome your input any time!
I love that scarf! I am always so jealous of bloggers with their thrifted scarves - I think St. Louis is home to the worst thrift stores ever (unless you are looking for furniture or Budwieser memorabilia, then we're a hot spot!). I can never find ANY good scarves in stores around here!
ReplyDeleteI think the pattern mixing looks great, I would totally wear this outfit! Love your hair today Linley.
ReplyDeleteI am loving stripes so much these days! AND... I love how you glammed it up with that amazing scarf! Looking super cute today :)

I too, would totally wear this outfit. It is not so nautical that it is obnoxious! I am so stealing this scarf idea, I love how it hangs but is tucked under your belt!

You look adorable! I'm terrified of mixing patterns, as well!
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way, I think I've been on blog overload lately because some bloggers have randomly been entering my dreams. You snuck your way into mine last night, and I helped you search for a new apartment. Unfortunately, the selection was meager. Better luck next time? :)
I'm actually loving the shoes! I can see the outfit looking fantastic with a pair of the canvas stripped loafers as well!

I'm trying to think if I've ever mixed patterns. It looks awesome when done right, but I don't know if I have the right patterns to mix! Ha.
ReplyDeleteYou mixed patterns perfectly! I did the nautical outfit with the loafers but without the scarf, and I definitely like it better with the scarf. Gorgeous!
