I went through a lot of pieces before walking out of the house in this. You can take a look at my bedroom floor if you don't believe me. Well you can't really take a look at my floor, so I guess you just have to believe me. I'm glad I went through a lot of pieces, though. Now that I am looking at these photos, I really like this look. I would have worn navy tights with this, but I don't have any and I can't go buy a pair. Luckily the wind took a chill-pill and let me snap these photos in peace and sunshine-warmth. Thank you, wind.
Oh yeah, I did something new and exciting with this outfit. I wore a tunic under my dress. I went through two shirts before trying the tunic - and it pretty much decided for me. I loved it. It's kind of weird, but it works. It also adds a layer - which additionally adds warmth. So, that's awesome.

i really like this! the navy surprised me... at first i thought it was black but the navy is a good thing! there have been SO MANY moments where i wish i had colored tights to make my remix but then i don't so i just wear pants instead. loving the pics with the nikon back in order!
ReplyDeleteI do believe you are channeling Kendi in this look! The photos, the stance, the outfit. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThe blue is a great choice. And the tunic has the same appearance as a white button-up would, so why not?
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorites of yours.

ReplyDeleteThis is really cute Linley! Love the leopard cardigan and the cute socks! Glad you didn't have to face the winter wind today! These pics look great! :)
ReplyDeleteSuper creative remixing! I love the layers. Also, you should do a hair tutorial! I'm totally in love with your dressy ponytail.
ReplyDeletevery cute. I can't believe you have bare legs going on! It's so frigid here... one pair of tights doesn't even keep my legs warm!
ReplyDeleteI definitely LOVE this outfit...I think any outfit with an animal print in it is a winner for me..haha..but I really do love your layering/outfit making skills!
ReplyDeleteloooove the layers and the leopard! so cute linley!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I would never think to layer a tunic under a dress but it's very clever. And warm. Even better. :)
ReplyDeleteLinely, I have to say that you're making me fall in love with leopard print. i loved the last outfit you styled with this cardigan, and this one's even cuter! the rolled up sleeves and the dress are great.

Gorgeous. The navy is a nice change up from straight black--which I'm sure is the only thing I could have come up with to pair with a leopard print cardigan.
